Temperature was 41 degrees

We met up with some friends to caravan to the parade meeting spot.
This location on 50th and Powell is now home to Burger King. Back in the 50's
this spot was home to 'Bart's' which became 'The Speck', a huge cruising spot for the locals.

The parade meeting spot was at Portland Meadows.

Tom usually drives an open-top Bugatti, but brought his truck instead today.

Lining up.

The Mustang club.

This car was mooing off an on!

These guys brought a cool '66 Impala.

Tod enjoying his coffee on the cold morning.

Cool - '58 Ranchero.

This '69 Chevelle was two cars behind my '68 Chevelle.

The Christmas Elf brought me a candy cane :)

One of my Christmas stuffed animals came along for the ride.

This was way cool - around 50 police officers were at the event to
escort the parade of 91 cars from Portland Meadows to Emmanuel Hospital.
The parade didn't have to stop for red lights, thanks to the cops!

Going through red lights legally!

We had a lot of support from the neighborhood!

People stopped to take photos of the parade.

Thumbs up!

Lots and lots of toys were collected for the children of the hospital.

Not pictured, but Damon Coates attended this event with his wife and daughter.
He is the police officer who was shot in the line of duty a couple years ago.
It was nice to see him at the event.

Another candy cane, this time from Santa.

We were very glad to be a part of this important event.
