The Main Event - J_sin Sullivan vs. Tod Ruhl for the NRW Heavyweight Championship belt.

My results from Friday 4-6-07
First NRW would like to thank the Oregonian for covering the event last night for its A&E section. Everyone from the staff that was in attendance was very enthusiastic about the company and the card, the issue covering last nights event will be on Newstands before April 20.
Last night the opening match was a Battle Royal featuring 10 stars of NRW. In the end the final 5 were Tod Ruhl, Dash Venture, Mike Santiago, Quiz and Erik Hanson. Quiz and Santiago, who had battled each other throughout the match, eliminated one another and brawled to the back, in doing that the two grabbed the referee's attention so he did not see Tod Ruhl eliminate Dash Venture, nor did he see Venture sneak back in. The ref saw Ruhl eliminate Hanson, and then Dash eliminate Ruhl to win the battle royal and the shot at NRW Champion J_Sin Sullivan.
After the match Sullivan and Dash squared off over the belt, manager Derek Drexl attempted to split the two apart but was shoved down by Sullivan. Drexl turned his attention to Venture, who is certainly more under his control than Sullivan and took him to the back, leaving Sullivan in the ring alone.
In the main event it was supposed to be Sullivan vs Dash Venture. Venture showed once again that he is under the control of the Sindicate as he laid down for a 3 count, only moments into the match.
Skag Rollins came to the ring and said that he thought the whole thing was BS. He said that he would love to challenge Sullivan himself but can't because of the 90 days clause stemming back to January and the Falls Count Anywhere match, but he did have another challenge for Sullivan in the form of Tod Ruhl, who was the legitimate winner of the Battle Royal. After an attack from Dash Venture and Drexl's cane at the beginning of the match and a valiant effort by Ruhl that included a "Ruhl Spear" and Tod almost getting the Full Nelson locked in, Sullivan managed to win this one fall match and retained the title. Afterwards Rollins pointed out that on April 19th the 90 days will be up, meaning that beginning on the 4/20 event he and Sullivan could face each other. Rollins challenged Sullivan to a 2 out of 3 falls match, to which Sullivan agreed.
Rollins also reminded J_sin that if they touched each other before that in an NRW event they would be suspended for 90 days, and if that happened to Sullivan he would be stripped of the title. After saying that Skag grabbed Derek Drexl and delivered a Death Valley Driver to him right in front of Sullivan!
The results of my matches were compliments of NRW. There were other matches on the card too of course.
For those of you who have never attended an NRW event, I recommend getting out of the house and come out to Gresham Rec Center for a wild night of live Pro Wrestling.
