Last year at the West Coast Open Powerlifting Championships, I had a 1 day meet and had 70 lifters. I had to run them through the squats like cattle, I never timed anyone out, but I had to bark about it alot. I don't think meets like that are fun - nor are they fun to run. For the last 25 years the WCO has been known as a BIG PARTY (bikers, greasers, freaks, guys like
TOD RUHL from places like Feloney Flats and all sorts of non-main stream people AKA :outlaws) and I want it to stay that way. I get along very well with these kinds of people and I feel they are a dying breed - so I throw them a party once a year and its called the WCO.

Bruce Read and I have always wanted to be able to cater to the lifter and give him/her the time and respect they deserve. So, this year it's a 2 day meet.. and the party is going to be as big or bigger than it ever has been. so in ending - come party with me - my brothers and sisters.

Lou and Tod always have time to chat with the wrestling fans,
but this particular fan ended up trying their patience at the end of the day! :)
